It’s National Dog Week September 20-26.

So, we want to celebrate dogs that have been helped by HAC (Holistic Animal Care) by various different modalities.

It’s amazing what you can do to help your dogs and other animals by connecting, communicating, muscle testing and offering energy!

There are a variety of ways you can deepen the bond you have with your dog by using HAC. Let us share with you some success stories with my (Allison) dogs and our student’s and client’s dogs.

Petey’s Positive ‘Paw’around

Our sweet pup, Petey, came to us over 15 years ago with lots of “street savvy” baggage that we spent almost a year working on. He was a ball of reactive aggression with anything that came towards him.  I learned how to use positive methods to make this reactive dog feel safe and secure and not react to the things that used to send him into a lunging, snarling rage. Petey would react to bikes, motorcycles, all dogs, people with a different gait, people wearing hats, the door to door mail man, any man, lawn mowers, garbage trucks, etc.

It is a life time journey of love that has proven if you put in the time and do the work, you will have a very rewarding relationship.  Petey became a great dog that I could take anywhere and be so proud!! He was bringing smiles to our faces instead of ulcers to our tummies. However, about 10 years ago, our precious, rehabbed Petey started lunging and biting (the horror) anyone that would go towards our front door to leave our house! Thankfully, most of the victims were family and they love Petey, but there were a few plumbers, electricians and painters that won’t come back.

I just could not imagine how this could happen after we had worked so hard and come so far! We were on pins and needles whenever the door bell rang or a neighbor came over. At this point, I had exhausted most of the modalities in my tool box – aIl that had worked before like his crystals, color and energy work. He was an angel when everyone was in their chair and it seemed like my holistic efforts were proving beneficial UNLESS someone got up to go to the front door. I did not know where to turn, until I took the EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) workshop with Kim and Helen Racz, an EFT practitioner in Houston.

I was just amazed and could not believe how it unfolded.  We had been burglarized before the “leaving and lunging” began and it really affected my husband – he felt so betrayed with such a sense of loss. Well, during the EFT tapping session when we had connected to Petey, it was revealed that he was mortified and felt like a failure because he had slept right through the incident – never barking or alerting! Petey saw how sad it made “daddy” and he vowed never to let anyone ever again leave our house taking stuff that meant something to us. Wow, all of this behavior was out of love and loyalty! We did a few rounds of tapping reassuring Petey that he is a good dog and to let go of feeling less than, and we assured him that anyone we allow into our home can leave with anything we give them. Just ONE session of EFT was all that was needed!

Petey can meet, greet and say goodbye to everyone that visits! We have not had an issue since that one EFT session and he is now 17 years old! It is amazing how quickly it can work and can release so much, even decades of emotional pain, trauma or blockage. EFT is a form of connecting through energy that communicates with your animal. Tapping can help you open your intuitive side, too.

Stella Got Her Skin Back

This sweet girl moved in across from us years ago.  Her pet parent, Tara, complained to me about Stella’s skin with scabby patches, dandruff and constant itching.  She said she had gone the traditional route of using prednisone and harsh shampoos to clear her skin. It seemed to get a bit better and then would come back even worse. Yep, unfortunately, in traditional medicine while some therapies are necessary, most of the time the medicines and antibiotics only treat the surface or the symptoms and not the root or the true cause of the issue.

I asked Tara if she would allow me to muscle test to see what energy healing methods might help to relieve Stella’s issues – Tara had no idea what I was talking about, but said, “At this point, I would accept any help.” I asked that my guides and angels help the energy to focus on Stella and that I may get the best responses for the greater good to awaken Tara to energy work and holistic healing as a way of life for her and for Stella!

The muscle testing responses were amazing and totally different than Tara expected. It ended up showing that the main method that would help Stella was looking at her diet! She needed a complete diet makeover. Stella tested for no grain, however, potatoes as a binder were ok, and she needed to change her proteins to fish and turkey (In Chinese medicine, these are both cool proteins, which makes sense to cool her skin and body.) Stella needed salmon oil added to her diet, as well. There were a few other things, but Tara decided to begin with these changes first.

In only two weeks, Tara was so excited that Stella had stopped itching and several of the scabs were gone. She kept her on this diet for a while and over the past few years we have changed her diet some and tweaked her proteins a bit. This is important to consider, especially as the seasons change, so can their dietary needs. Now, she can eat pretty much everything – by rotating her proteins with the seasons, her fats stay balanced and boost her immune system. Stella is a happy girl!!

Marlie’s Magical Trauma Release

Marlie is a gorgeous yellow lab that had lived her life as a puppy mill momma – pumping out puppies litter after litter until she was of no use anymore, and was thrown out onto the streets to fend for herself. Cindy, who has luminous energy of her own, adopted Marlie after the Houston Lab Rescue saved her from animal control.

Marlie was in terrible physical health when the lab rescue took her, but was on the road to recovery, even though she had several setbacks with a stomach perforation, fungal infections and on-going joint issues. I feel this was part of their path as it led them to a wonderful holistic vet, who opened the door for more holistic modalities in Cindy’s life. Finally, Marlie was in a good place physically, but she was suffering emotionally. Cindy said she would not socialize with others, seemed sad and depressed and stayed in her crate all the time, keeping herself isolated.

When we met Marlie, she walked in the room, and came right over to us and laid down. Kim and I were immediately led to offer energy to her (I get emotional just writing about it). Marlie’s body shook and she moaned and groaned and finally let out the loudest, longest moan of release I had ever experienced. She was letting go of so much pain she had been holding on to.  Marlie had shared with us about the loss of her puppies, the childhood she never had, missing her own mother and the uncertainty of her future. By verbally telling Marlie that this was her forever home, she was able to feel relaxed, comfortable and confident in her loving home. The energy work cleared and released Marlie’s emotional pain from the past.

Cindy was amazed at the change. It was immediate! Marlie was WAGGING HER TAIL, BOUNCING LIKE A PUPPY AND WANTING TO BE PETTED! She was able to play with her younger sibling, Hershey, exuding an effervescent enthusiasm, loved walks to socialize and in her way, she gave loving and healing energy back to Cindy and everyone she met. Cindy could not believe that one session would heal Marlie like it did. She said, “Never could I have believed the change that would occur with just ONE session, nor the way it has impacted not just Marlie’s life, but the lives of all of us who have come to know the true spirit that Marlie was.”

Thank you, Marlie for touching our lives and showing us the light through energy, as it is always for the greater good. Marlie is in spirit now, but her legend lives on and you, too can offer energy anytime you want to for anyone or anything.  And energy work is a doorway to increasing your intuitive abilities.

Cocoa Knows

Here is another example of how knowing what the animal knows can be very beneficial. One of our students had come to an event we were hosting and she wanted to know if her dog had cancer.  Well, the dog told Kim that yes, he did indeed have cancer and he gave Kim “spleen”. The pet parent listened and took the dog to the vet to get completely checked out. All the tests were done and nothing was there. The spleen came back clean.  So, you might be thinking, “well, the dog was wrong and now she has spent all this money for nothing”.

Au contraire, you see, the animals can know what is going on in their bodies and their life long before any diagnostic will ever show it.  If we trust our animals and believe what they tell us, we can help. Gia did trust her dog. She stayed on top of it and took her dog back for check-ups regularly. Well, several years after the dog had told Kim he had cancer, the tumor showed up on his spleen. Because they caught it so early, the vet was able to remove the spleen and cancer and he lived for many, many more years. When the animals talk, we need to listen.

Allison and her dog Bob sitting on the floor doggie dancing. The Lightfoot WayBob Tells All

Did you know that animal communication can be your crystal ball? Really, it can in the sense that any information that your animal gives you can help you figure things out, especially when you can tell the vet what the animal is saying, feeling, or thinking. Granted, the vet will be more receptive if he or she is a holistic vet and gets the energetic side of medicine, but knowing the animal’s side of things will always help. Let me share a few examples.

I will begin with my own dog, Bob. He had not been eating, was vomiting his meals and bile, very lethargic, unhappy looking and his head was sunken sort of. Now, I know that Bob is a very sensitive boy and he is also very tied (connected) to my husband who has been going through a tough time and big changes. Kim and I both felt down deep that he might be trying to take on my husband’s issues as animals often will do because of their unconditional love.

One of our professional animal communicator students talked to Bob, and what she got was amazing!!! Long story shortened (a bit).  Bob was worried about Thomas (the student even got my husband’s name – that is stupendous) and was taking on his issues. He told her his head felt heavy and dizzy like cotton candy and that there was a sharp, cutting pain in his left side. Hearing this, you might think headache, maybe allergies, right? Well, listen carefully, this is where it gets interesting.

The next day, Dr. M, our holistic chiropractor and vet, and a student of ours, came to the house to work on everybody. I let her read the conversation Bob had with our Professional Animal Communicator Program student.  She knew INSTANTLY that his pain in his side was gallbladder and it made perfect sense to her that if there was sludge settled in the gallbladder, that the cotton candy feeling in his head was ammonia being pushed back into the brain. Blow me away with a feather. Amazing, now, we had a starting point for diagnostics. Off we went to the vet clinic to see our other holistic vet that is incredibly in-tune with the animals.

Dr. P, a student of ours, also read the Bob transcript.  She asked him about not eating and why he couldn’t eat, even though he told the student in their conversation that he loved his food, but everything smelled bad to him. He told Dr. P his jaw hurt on his left side. We will get back to that, but remember his jaw hurt. We did all the tests to rule out his gallbladder – the x-rays were clear and the ultrasound (Bob was NOT a fan of that whole business) proved his gallbladder was clean. Normally, next to follow would be more invasive, probing tests and biopsies, but with the knowledge the vet had from Bob about his jaw hurting, she discovered during his ultrasound that he had developed a kissing lesion on his gum on the left side…… ah-ha, are you with me, his left back tooth had punctured through the gum where that tooth had been pulled years ago. That pain was the “root” (can’t help myself) of the entire problem – his jaw hurting, him not eating, his head feeling fuzzy, and with his appetite and stomach a mess, his liver was not processing properly, hence the gallbladder reference.

Dr. P pulled Bob’s lower tooth and Dr. M got him on the right liver/gallbladder supplements and amounts (we muscle tested) to strengthen his organs and let me tell you, he has not missed a meal since and he feels so much better.  I cannot forget the fact that Bob was mirroring his “daddy”, though, and I am now aware of him taking on issues so I watch for those signs, as well. It is just such a relief to know what is going on and that Bob could tell us so we could fix it.

We hope these stories help you to see the possibility for using HAC in your life.  Perhaps you’ll consider joining the Learning Center or learning to speak to your animals (register by Sept. 26th for the Oct. 4th teleclass here.)

Doggone Blessings!

Allison & Kim
